Description
Type 4017 is a DC dynamic lowering hoist controller
providing braking action by rectifying the voltage developed on the wound
rotor motor slip rings and connecting the DC voltage to a single phase of
the three phase wound rotor motor primary windings. It is recommended
for hoists with a fixed minimum load and do not have a mechanical or eddy
current brake, but require good speed regulation.
Control in hoisting is the standard secondary resistor
method. In lowering 5 speed points are provided with the secondary
slip voltage rectified and connected to a single phase of the primary.
The controller provides relatively float speed-torque curves similar to
eddy current brake hoist performance.
Suitable for all NEMA and CMAA service classes
